What I Offer
Private & Studio Classes
Qi Gong & Reiki
Qi Gong allows us to communicate with our bodies to reduce stress, anxiety and bring calm into thoughts. We weave the breath with intentional movements and in a moving meditation. Moving the chi through our body.
Reiki will also sooth the energy that may be stuck or blocked in the body. Hands on technique is used as a energetic massage that moves up and down the body. You may feel, coolness, heat, releasing sensation or maybe nothing at all. Each session is unique and ends with thoughts being shared and insight between the practitioner and client.
Yoga & Yoga Therapy Instruction
I know how difficult it can be to find a teacher that focuses on individual or groups needs. Instructors need to be able to motivate and guide students towards success with any mobility issues, or any ages. As an experienced and passionate instructor, I believe in an approach that gives students positive, and loving ways to learn. Always teaching from my heart whether we are on the mat, or practicing from a chair, you will be supported and start to feel the shift that comes from being present.
Meditation & EFT
Meditation has often been taught with a "one size fits all" mentality. This I believe has caused a lot people to shy away from any Meditation practice. Meditation isn't always about sitting still, eyes closed, chanting or shutting out the world. Its about learning the tools and working with them to find peace with what is going on. Its about finding the difference between Mind(full) & Mindful.
Adding EFT ( emotional freedom technique) to bring some calm into your mind, body and ultimately your breath.
Let there always be light, healing and breath....
I have obtained over 800hrs in Yoga trainings for Yin, Hatha, Chair, Bhakti, and Restorative, along with becoming a Reiki Master and training practices of Qi Gong, EFT, Meditation and recently after 3 years of training my 800hr Yoga Therapy, specializing in somatic movements, understanding and dealing with Grief, Cancer, and aging successfully.
I feel there is so much more to yoga than flexibility or strength, especially when
you are dealing with other aspects in your body and life.
In my classes you will definitely be met with a smile and a hug! I like to make people feel welcome and part of a beautiful yoga community that is diverse with all ages and experience. You will feel physically and emotionally safe as I like to create a space that you can simply be yourself in.
Classes are carefully and uniquely sequenced with a pace that allows students time to find alignment in a pose, while still being challenged enough to cultivate strength and balance while working with their breath.
I encourage students to practice using props and really listen to and honor their bodies in the poses. In a group environment we really need to awaken our own intuitive wisdom & use that as personal growth on and off the mat.
I love sharing poems, yoga philosophy, readings and chants in classes so that any desire of a “workout” is balanced with an even more powerful “work in”, nourishing body, mind and spirit.
Spending most of my time training on the beautiful islands of Hawaii, I try to bring
a little bit of Aloha to each class and teach from my heart.
